BRA Day promotes education, awareness, and access for women who may wish to consider post-mastectomy breast reconstruction through informative, community-based events across Canada.

This year there are 25 BRA Day events across and over 30 countries are participating. In Canada, BRA day is a program of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. BRA Day is a collaborative effort that includes plastic surgeons, plastic surgery nurse specialists, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, corporate sponsors, breast cancer organizations and volunteers. Organize a BRA Day Event

Plan an event to shed light on the importance of understanding post-mastectomy care choices.
Consider offering short lectures on breast reconstruction options; patient stories; ask an expert, and a volunteer led Show & Tell lounge where women can see first-hand the results of reconstruction. No event is too big or too small.

CBCF Makes it Easy

Planning is simple with our helpful tools:

  • Starter Guide
  • Show & Tell Guide
  • Marketing & PR Toolkit
  • Online event registration
  • National Sponsorship

Host a Show & Tell Lounge

89% of women want to see what breast reconstruction surgery results would look like before undergoing treatment.** Show & Tell goes beyond the before and after photos to help women have a realistic expectation of what reconstruction can and cannot achieve.
